Commercial locksmith for Hamilton businesses
Commercial work is quoted on the phone or from a site visit, depending on the size of it, and priced before anything is ordered or removed. Emergency call-outs run on the same 24 hour basis as our residential work, because a shop that cannot lock at closing cannot wait until Monday.
Before you call, have this ready
- The address, or the nearest intersection if you are on a rural route.
- What the door or vehicle is. Year, make, and model for a car.
- Whether anyone is inside, and whether you are somewhere safe.
- Photo identification, and something showing you belong there.
Business lock work is less about a single door and more about who holds what. A shop with one key that opens everything has a problem the day someone leaves. A building where the manager carries nine keys has a different problem on the day one goes missing. Most of what we do commercially is turning that into a system somebody can actually manage.
The other half is hardware that has to survive being used two hundred times a day. Closers, panic bars, and commercial cylinders wear in ways residential hardware never does, and they fail in ways that stop a business trading or, worse, stop a fire exit working properly.
What is included
What you actually get
Master key systems
Designed around your staff rather than your doors: one key for a manager, restricted keys for areas that need them, and a plan for what happens when a key walks out.
Panic bars and exit hardware
Supplied, fitted, and adjusted so the door opens on the first push. Exit hardware is a life safety item and it is checked as one.
Door closers
Replaced or adjusted so doors close and latch properly instead of slamming, bouncing, or standing open on a windy day.
Access control
Keypads, fobs, and readers on entrances that need a record of who came in, including the retrofit onto doors that were built for keys.
Rekeying after staff changes
Done out of hours if you would rather it was not done in front of the team, and priced the same either way.
Storefront and aluminium doors
Mortise cylinders, hook bolts, and the pivot hardware that commercial glass doors run on, which is a different trade from a house door.
When you need this
The situations this covers
Someone has left and their key has not come back
Rekeying is faster and cheaper than replacing hardware, and it makes the missing key useless the same day.
You are taking over a unit
Assume every previous tenant, contractor, and cleaner has a key, because in practice several of them do.
A fire door is not latching
That is a compliance problem before it is a security one, and it is usually the closer rather than the lock.
Staff are propping doors open
When a door gets propped, the hardware is wrong for how the space is actually used. That is fixable without turning the building into a fortress.
You are carrying too many keys
A master key system replaces a ring of nine with one, without giving everyone access to everything.

Straight answers
Questions people ask before they call
Can you rekey our locks after an employee leaves?
Yes, usually the same day. If the departure is sensitive we can attend after closing so it is not done in front of the team. Where the keys are part of a master system we rekey the cylinders and reissue, so the wider system stays intact.
What is a master key system and do we need one?
It is a keying plan where one key opens several doors and other keys open only what they should. It is worth doing when more than a couple of people need different levels of access. Below that, keyed-alike cylinders are usually enough and cost less.
Do you install panic bars?
Yes, and we adjust and repair existing ones. Exit hardware has to release on a single push from inside, and a bar that needs a shove is a problem worth fixing before an inspection finds it.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. A lot of commercial work is deliberately done after closing so the shop is not disrupted, and it is quoted on the same basis as daytime work.
Do you handle access control, or only keys?
Both. Keypads and fob readers can usually be retrofitted to existing doors. We will be straight with you about when a keyed system is genuinely the better answer, because it often is for a single door.

What people said afterwards
Very professional and prompt. It’s frustrating having to get a locksmith but when someone recommended them, I never knew I would get such expertise in my area. They came in and my nightmare was gone in few minutes. I highly recommend them for locksmith services.

Talk to a technician, not a call centre
The person who answers is the person arranging the van. You get the price before anyone drives, and it is confirmed at your door before work starts.

A technician is dispatched the moment you call, at any hour. Nights, weekends, and holidays are the same call and the same rate structure.
Smart Lock Installation
Keypad and app-controlled locks fitted to doors that were cut for standard hardware, tested on the door, and handed over set up.

Not an emergency? Leave your number
Rekeying, a lock change, a master key system, or a smart lock going on the front door. Send the details and a technician calls you back with a price and a time.

Do not use the form. The phone is answered 24 hours, 7 days, and a call gets a van moving in minutes.
