Who we are

Hamilton Prime Locksmith Inc is a locksmith business based in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, operating at https://hamiltonprimelocksmith.com. We decide what happens to the information described below, which makes us responsible for it.

What we collect when you use this site

If you fill in the contact form, we collect what you type into it, plus two pieces of context that are added automatically:

• Your name and phone number.
• The service you selected and the city you selected.
• Anything you write in the message field.
• The category you tapped in the Home, Business, or Car selector, if you used it.
• Campaign attribution: any utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, gbraid, or wbraid parameters that were on the link you arrived through, the page you landed on, and the referring site. This tells us which advertising brought you here.

What we do not collect here

This site does not ask for payment details, identification documents, or account passwords, and it has no login. Identification is checked in person by the technician at the job and is not recorded on this website.

If you phone us instead of using the form, that call is handled by the business directly and is not processed by this website at all.

Why we collect it, and what we do with it

The contact form exists for one purpose: so a technician can call you back about the job you described. We use your phone number to do that, and we use the service, city, and message to arrive prepared.

Campaign attribution is used to work out which advertising produces enquiries, so we are not paying for advertising that does not work. It is never used to build a profile of you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other locksmiths or lead brokers. This is worth saying plainly, because in this trade the practice of selling enquiries on is common.

Who processes it on our behalf

Form submissions are delivered to our inbox through Web3Forms, a form delivery service. Your submission passes through their systems in order to reach us, and their handling of it is governed by their own terms.

The site itself is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request information such as IP address for the purpose of serving pages and protecting the site from abuse.

Analytics and advertising tracking

We use Google Tag Manager to load measurement tools. Depending on what is active at the time of your visit, that may include Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and Meta advertising tools such as the Meta pixel.

These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and record events such as which pages you viewed, whether you tapped a phone number, and whether you submitted the form. Google and Meta act as independent parties for this data under their own policies.

You can stop most of this by using your browser's tracking protection, by blocking third-party cookies, or with an ad blocker. Nothing on this site stops working if you do. The phone number, the form, and every page work with all tracking blocked.

Storage in your browser

This site stores two small items in your browser's session storage: the Home, Business, or Car category you tapped, and the campaign parameters you arrived with. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. It is used to pre-fill the form and to attribute the enquiry, and it never leaves your browser except as part of a form submission you choose to send.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept as long as we need them for the job and for our ordinary business records, including warranty and accounting obligations. Where information is no longer needed for either, it is deleted.

Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the settings in the Google and Meta platforms, and is held in aggregate rather than as a record about you by name.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also withdraw consent for us to contact you.

Phone us on (647) 559-3413 and ask. We will not make you write a formal letter, and we will not charge you for it.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If a child has submitted the form, call us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes at the same time, and the date at the top is updated. We do not make changes retroactively apply to information already collected under an earlier version.
